>>388619If you aren't in a hurry, soak it in water overnight then let it dry a day or two (or a couple of hours in the oven at 250F/110C or so). The wood will swell and many cell walls will break. When it dries it'll have shrunk enough for you to drive it out.

If I ever find more like it (with the rounded bit) I'll buy several. The Estwing was a present from my wife. Pic related is mine as well, it's my truck axe now. 2.5# boy's axe, 24" handle. This pic was taken when I first handled it, it has a better edge now.
