the problem is they are not really building any tension at rest, and thats the whole point of Reflexing your bows. plus, its a weak point in the bow, and i would not full draw that thing lol
Not having a backing isnt "wrong" but it dose help make the bow last much longer. iv seen people just use ducked tape and heat treat it. but making a brace and reflexing your bows is not hard, you should try it.
