Luckily I was wearing 2 pairs of socks, and these boots, so there was an artificial barrier of like 2 inches of densely packed stuff that its fangs couldn't get through.
I freaked out at the time, and the day after I washed the boots thoroughly thinking somehow I might get the dried venom on my bare skin at a later date.
