Not much to report. Some zebra caterpillars have been dining on my kale here and there. I remove those leaves and stuff them under some hot compost. A few slugs here and there. No other pest activity to speak of really. No ground hogs, but I did spot 3 of them in the area. Massive things. I'm kind of worried that the tomato flowers are not getting pollinated at all. I've never seen anything on them at all. Normally, I see several flies and types of bees/wasps visiting them. This year, nothing. I've not seen any tomatoes starting and most of the blossom are just falling off.
Rains have been watering things for the most part, I've only watered 2 times in the past 2 weeks I think. I can actually see things growing from one day to the next morning after a good rain. It's amazing. I've been trying to mow the lawn between rains. There's less than 3 acres of grass to turn into free compost to fill the remaining 3 raised beds.
I go out a couple times a day to check on things. Pull some wee tiny weeds here and there. Relax and enjoy the foliage.
