Most better tobacco shops will have a decent selection of pipes for you to choose from in all sorts of price ranges from cheap no-name seconds to handmade things from prestigious brand names.
Used pipes on eBay will generally need a thorough cleaning before use, but you can get some really neat stuff for cheap if you look.

I’ve had to clean some really nasty ones on 3-4 separate occasions before they were ready to smoke. I’ve burned full packs of pipe cleaners and more on individual pipes that were really foul and stinky.
But take heart: they WILL come clean if you keep at it. Just clean it and let it dry a day before trying again.
