here goes:
been cultivating a robust and healthy compost pile (eats banana peels in 2 weeks) with non-calorific food scraps and yard trimmings.
i fucked up and added a few cubic feet of dry italian cypress detritus, thinking it would just decompose if i kept it wet.
now my worms and woodlice are gone, and the stuff isn't decomposing. internet says cypress sucks up nitrogen as it decomposes and is insecticidal. so now what? pee in it? keep adding compost until it's diluted?
it's already quite mixed in
