Had my Missouri Meerschaum Huck Finn pipe for almost a week.
Tried clenching it, but I bit too hard and bent the mouthpiece (I have TMJD which makes my teeth warped and my bite uneven). Works just fine still, but I'm a bit disappointed at how quickly it happened.
Additionally, I've got some char around the top of the bowl, and some gunky black stuff around the outside. I had hoped to maintain it better -- but then again, it was only 7 dollars.
I took it /out/ to Pedernales State park and puffed at it while sitting on a partially submerged rock. Didn't take photos unfortunately, pic related is from the internet. Was a great experience, though, sitting and listening to the birds sing.
