Best pot I've used over a fire is a billy with a lid and a bail. If you've got a little room to spare, maybe throw in a pot grabber too. Otherwise, just snag the bail with a stick to lift it out of the coals. You don't want a pot with a rigid handle. Takes up too much room. Also, chances are good there's going to be some material on the handle that will catch fire or melt off.
