I took the lads out on a camping trip to some forest service land for the first time a few days ago. Things were fun, we chopped down a dead tree for firewood and made a comfy ass fire that we chatted around. Naturally, we drank a lot of beer, and we were passing around a bottle of home made apple cider whiskey that my buddy had brought. We kept chopping wood and drinking until midnight at least. At some point though, either me or one of the other drunk retards drove my axe into the dirt, putting a nick into it. I'm a bit irritated, because the axe is brand new. Any way, its one of those Gerber/ Fiskars axes with the synthetic handle that you can't remove.
Any ideas how to take care of the nick in this thing? My first thought is to just work at it with a file, but what do you guys think? I've never fixed a chink like this before.
