>>1497352I am a BFS style fisherman. You made a poor decision, it’s going to cost around another $250 to get that 1500c to work like those Japanese fellas. Those reels use a special tuned kit and custom wide spool that allows casting of very light lures. You’d be lucky to cast a 1/4oz lure with this reel.
BFS really is in a class of its own with no entry level; it has just as much to do with the rod as it does the reel, and minimum it will cost $200.If you want the real thing, you have to pay full price ($330 and up) for a reel and modding an old abu will cost the same.
My advice, sell the reel and save for an aldebaran bfs xg used on eBay.
