A few years ago I burned an entire tank (a little over 10 gallons) in about 13 miles. It was a spring ride, and there was about 3 feet of that really heavy mashed-potato snow. If you weren't on the throttle, you were stuck. Very weird and unusual snow conditions that day. >Pic related. Deep, heavy, sticky snow.
Most of the time I can get ~100mi out of a tank.
If I know i'm going a ways out I'll carry a 2.5gal jerry can on the tunnel. Happens maybe once a season.
