>>1182504This. Nature can be beautiful but it only has the value we assign to it. There are plenty pieces of nature that humanity has had no problem destroying. Salt water marsh, bogs, grasslands are all nature that most people don't care about. Only very few are awestruck looking at those landscape.
It's mainly impressive landscapes with particular geological- or hydrological morphology that humans value. These days we also appreciate going into nature to relax from daily stress and anxieties caused by modern life. At least that's my take.
