So I'm reclaiming the garden area behind my house, pic related, and while I have plans for what I want to do with the ground I have no idea what to do with this wall. The wooden boards will be replaced by a screen door and the ground up to two feet from the wall dug out and filled with gravel. I'm trying to make the garden as wild and attractive to nature as possible, so a pond, loads of wildflowers, etc.
I was thinking of covering the wall in creepers but am worried about the maintenance and potential damage to the building over time (also I'd have to plant them in pots and water them because gravel). Any suggestions?
