Generally, all it takes to take good care of your feet is:
Wash them daily in lukewarm water, with some MILD soap or salt or oil. If you want to soak them, don't do it for more than 5 min.
Thoroughly dry your feet, pay extra attention in between your toes, it must be dry!
Use a good quality foot creme. But do not use it in between your toes as that area should be kept dry at all times.
I personally recommend not using any kind of file or those vulcanic rocks, to rub away the dead/hard skin. This will only lead to more hard skin as the skin will try to compensate for the stress it is being subjected to (Just like when your hands get calloused from lifting weights).
