Wew lads what a day. Started out by driving north a half hour to that river I fished last time and today the water was stupid high. There was a bunch of shit blocking the launch but I just pushed it all aside and went anyway. I threw the jerkbait the whole time to test the waters so I could figure out where they were and I figured that out pretty quick. Ended up with 6 small mouth and 3 over 3 pounds. Biggest being a little over 4 pounds. The best thing about the whole day is I tied on that prop rapala that anon sent me thinking there ain't a way in hell im catching anything on this but I just wanted to see how it worked. First cast, swear to god, pic related explodes on it right after it lands. Thing nearly gave me a heart attack and I didn't even know what it was at first. I swore it was a big pike because he was pulling way harder than any of the other bass I caught that day. I got everything but the blowup on my camera, shit was so sweet.
