Granted things are harder there so youll probably have the same kinda issues with being homeless. Its colder there during the winter too.
But there's alot more forward mobility and less chance that someone is going to stomp you into the homeless spikes.

> where some dude can go /out/ and be completely self sufficient AND live in luxury> because his 3d printer prints everything he needs including spare 3d printers in case it breaks down> and the little cold fusion thingy in the back of his log cabin makes sure he has more power than he needs all year even during dark blizzards> and the only thing he actually spends money on is creative content because everything physical is ultra cheap now> huge ass derigibles and other flying car type shit can get people and goods anywhere in the world very fast or with like zero cost if you're willing to wait> he lives in northern canadaThis is the society we should have, maybe it would've been possible by now if people got profits out of the way, but this type of society is the sort of thing that makes a communism possible. > dude might have to eat his own shit, figuratively, by composting it, mixing it back with dirt, and letting the food synthesizer turn it back into TVP... but hey here's to recycling!Until then we're still living in the "old days" and the only difference between now and 1945 is interconnectivity.
At that point I guess it would be much easier to actually contribute to society. Because then you wouldnt need to do a lame job to live.
