>>299147I purposely started more strawberry seeds and intended to put 6 of every variety in an Earthbox to grow, however I'm getting desperate to get these guys to germinate.
For what you mentioned, do I dig up the seeds that I put i peat pellets or do the lemon drip with entirely new seeds? If so, do I need to cold stratify them beforehand?
I'm guessing the lemon juice has ascorbic acid (vitamin C) which would slightly dissolve the seed coat and get the germination to start faster. If I'm digging up the previous seeds, should I scarify (knick the seed coat with a nail file)? I know Nasturtium seeds are tough and need a thin filing or else they'll stay stuck in the seed coat for a long time. I can't start too many raspberries because my raspberry patch only has space for about 5 raspberry plants and I'm starting 4 of those from seeds. I also don't want to dig up the seeds and disturb them if they are doing something right now beneath the soil that I can't see...
>>299173>I've gotten strawberry to germinate indoors. And how in the sam hell did you do that? I'm having trouble at that step. I know they're tough to keep alive from having bought storebought plants in the past. I'm going to try keeping them in an Earthbox this time which is pretty much a failsafe!
