Just bought an exos to replace my HMG as I’m more than tired of having a sweat drenched back and my shirts started getting nasty from it.
I am a bit of an odd hiker as I regularly stop every couple or so days to do a 2+ hour oil painting on long expeditions. plan on storing my wet canvases (clipped with spacers to each other so they don’t touch anything) in the mesh zone, so they can dry faster, instead of being vulnerable in an external box or inside my bag. I use gamblin’s quick drying medium, comes in a tube, most paintings are cured in 2-3 days in warm weather. Use my trekking poles + additional pole and an adaptor as a tripod for the easel, and a sealable palette with a thin plexiglass insert as a pochade.
The only thing I dislike about this pack is it’s bizarre gay alien styling - I don’t understand why outdoors gear has to look so ridiculous. Who thinks this looks good? Would be a 10/10 pack if it came in simple colours without the halo customised armour shit. Might take a sharpie to it as the frame makes it too big for a black rit dye bath
