The aros are WAY stronger than any aromatic produced in the UK. I can understand how US smokers move on to English blends quickly, the flavouring is so intense. Still very excited to try.
I got lane 1q to compare with Gawith Hoggarth's American Delight as I'd been told AD was a clone. I don't find this to be the case at all (per the time note), 1q has far more of a date, walnut and mild apricot smell, whereas AD is more of a round indefinable sweetness.
The escudo also smells divine. Slightly reminiscent of MacBaren's Scottish mixture with a little less sweetness and more of a stone fruit aroma.
I'll report back with a little review of each once I've had some time to digest the blends for a few days.
