As far a cook gear, pic related is good for boiling water or heating soup type things. The BRS 3000t might be cheap chink shit but it works for boiling a pot of water. The Stanley two person cook set pot isn't bad, just toss the bowls and utensils, you can eat out of the pot and there's way better options for the utensils in your kitchen.
