I havent gone fishing since i was a young kid but my nephew is coming to stay with me for a few days and I want to get him outdoors and away from his video games, as luck would have it his visit lines up with the licence free fishing week here in Ontario. So I ran out to the store and bought a cheap medium/light rod/reel combo, a cheap "panfish tackle kit" and a few other odds and ends. Does the stuff in the pic look like it might work? Not looking to catch any monsters, and I'm more just trying to teach the kid patience and how to enjoy the outdoors, but it would be nice to atleast have him land a little bluegill or something.
