Basically it's a greasy cream cheese with just a hint of bacon.
The only thing it's good for is hiking, because it's easy to transport and doesn't need utensils.
It does taste pretty good after a long day out, but I wouldn't pay that much for it (it's pretty close to the 200% mark up you suggested), unless for a laugh. It does not need to be refrigerated, unless it's opened, in which case it would be good for a few days without.
