>>1246788For all the hype G-shocks get, I have it's feeling it's just marketing, at least compared to the terrorist watch tiers of Casios. For the past three years I've had a W-215 H that I bought for 25 dollars. It's been through all nine circles of hell and back, including multiple times it spent two straight hours underwater, and currently the only wear and tear it has to show for it are two rather insignificant scratches on the screen's plastic casing. Only major downsides is that the only way to illuminate the screen is constantly holding the button down, which can be a pain at night, and the strap becomes rather uncomfortable after extended periods of wearing it, but not to the point it become unwearable. Also the alarm couldn't wake a fly and it's obviously got the ugly as fuck terrorist watch aesthetic going - but you're retarded if you use your wristwatch as an alarm clock and if you give two shits what others think of your appearance you're on the wrong board and should fuck off back to /fa/.
tl;dr Even if it breaks, not wasting money on a G-Shock, will just buy another $25 terrorist watch.
