I recently moved to an area where shooting guns isn't a super convenient option for getting my outdoors fix, due to there being no shooting ranges near me. There is, however, an enormous fuck-off lake just north of me, and I've been told it's excellent for fishing.
I used to fish when I was a kid, but haven't done it in several years. Even then I was just using a kiddie pole to catch fish in my backyard lake. I figured, hey, why not ask /out/ where to get started?
What's a good way to start getting into fishing? For now and the foreseeable future, I'll probably just stick to dock fishing, but I'd still like to know what /out/'s opinion is on what kind of pole to buy, what all should go in a tacklebox, shit like that. Much appreciated in advance.
