Hiked up to the creek side of Gross reservoir Sunday. Didn't catch anything on a jerkbait, white tube jig, silver and blue spoon, or white spinner with a little spoon, was casting as far as I could and let it sink before bringing it in on the sandy slope, trying to keep it roughly a foot or 2 off the ground while bouncing. Maybe just an unlucky day, or maybe it's just because it was bluebird weather and stormed the day before. Either way, the lake, forest and mountains made the trip worth it.
