Not really sure if this is the thread for this but can anyone tell me what these are? All I can determine is that they both have enough iron in them to have a magnet stick to em. Found them both along the train tracks not too far from my house. I suspect the one on the right is just slag or something but I only seem to find them on portions of the track near rivers which seems kind of odd.
