Suspensing jerkbaits are my favorite. Specifically Rapala X-Raps (pic related). Size 10 is good for largemouth and the "Gold" has been the best color for me although it is more of a copper color with an orang belly and black on top.. Tons of brands sell other suspending jerk baits too. Rapala Husky Jerks are classics, Yo-Zuri 3DB's, I just recently grabbed a Strike King suspending jerk bait too.
They don't realky dive or float, but rather suspend maybe 2'-3' deep.
