>>146372I've gotten a little wet at times. The thing is, when it starts raining you just lower/release the two sides of the fly, so that you get a nice ^ shaped roof. It won't be perfect... rain will pool up a little and might drip through (you can just push the fly up though). It's light coated nylon, not perfectly waterproof (scotchguard that shit!). If it's going to be raining a lot or rainy and windy just drap a tarp over it snugly and tie it down to the metal rings on either end. Works fine. Everyone will be jelly because they're getting flooded out in tents while you're cocooned safely above ground!
As for finding trees, can be troublesome I guess but not too bad. If you have enough rope/chain with you it's easier... but the further apart the trees are the less tension you'll get (which makes it uncomfortable), plus I can't stand being less than like 3' above ground.
