Went night fishing for the first time a couple days ago. Best fishing was still dusk/dawn, only caught 3-4 SMB and a LMB in actual darkness. Mostly on small rattling Bomber crankbaits. The spinnerbaits sucked with the damn snap swivel sliding down on them. Didn't even get a bite on the black jitterbug everyone raves about for night fishing. It was hard to cast close enough to shore though with just moonlight to go by.
I did notice the morning bite starts much earlier than I thought, almost an hr and a half before actual sunrise.
