It's definitely possible that it's too wet, though this is the experience straight from the package opened fresh. Is it typical to have to dry it out after buying?
That process seems a bit involved - maybe it's just what I'm getting myself into with pipe smoking. I've enjoyed hookah and cigars before, but pipe smoking has eluded me.
I'll hop on amazon and buy a dedicated tamper now.
