>>1348415Fenix is pretty good. I use the Tk09 for my rifle light, I love it.
I prefer smaller lights with tail cap switch, so I can hold it like pic related (Tn12 about same size too). That way I can control the switch for momentary mode. Same time if I need to use the flashlight for self defense, I can still easily punch, or bring my fist down like a hammer, let the bevel part of the light hit them (A lot of lights have some what of a spiked bevel just for this) in the face, forehead, etc. The light being smaller also has a better chance of you actually carrying it too, plus you don't want to dedicate an entire pocket to a light? Largest flashlight I'd carry is my Thrunite Tn12. Max lumen output is 1100ish, more flood than throw, strobe mode, multiple modes, memory mode, can easily fuck some one up if you hit them with it, runs on a single 18650, cheapish, great warranty.
I mostly prefer a penlight now. My Streamlight microtac 2aaa is about 150 lumens, it can throw it very damn well, it's slim and can easily ride along side a pocket knife in the same pocket. Batteries are cheaper and easier to find, also has a spikish bevel, so can be used as a striking weapon.
