SAS survival handbook is pretty fun, small and you should probably buy a copy if you're a brepper, but it's very broad (you'd do well to suppliment it with more local knowledge for your environment).
Andrew Skurka's guide to lightweight walking (can't remember the name) was very useful to teach me all about equipment and techniques on the trail.
