>>1255293I grew up in the 1980s in a rural area. When the weather wasn't shitty and storming, we were outside for most classes. From elementary to middle school to high school we had large areas for outdoor recreation so we used it a lot for class and recreation. I think we had 6 broken arms while I went through school due to kids climbing trees and shit. That's over the course of 12 years. Right after I got out of school all that stuff stopped. The playground where torn out because kids got hurt on the stuff all the time. Chain link fences went up. Now there's only a sports field and running track for the high school. The Elementary school doesn't have anything other than a kickball field that is all weeded over since they don't use it much at all. The elementary children stay inside on computers now.
