In the past I just clipped a stainless CRKT KISS with a lanyard to my PFD for open water paddling, but I just picked up an inflatable and now the tanto tip looks way too stabby. Been looking at dive style fixed blade knives, but I was thinking something like pic related (blunt tip, one handed, serrated blade) but with a lanyard hole would be good enough & maybe look less conspicuous and tactical when I'm walking around ashore.
