Tomanon here. Today we cut the grass and I've followed your advice and spread the clippings over the beds. I'll probably repeat this one or two times once they have fully dried. I did the same with the bed with corn, peas, watermelon, zucchini, and hokkaido.
Sadly this year will probably be the first year that I won't have any chilis. They are the crop that I started with (and I just ran out of chilis from last year for sauce making) but this year they all died. I've planted some jalapeno seeds a week ago but it's already pretty late to start chilis so I'm not expecting a huge yield, if any at all.
I've also trimmed down the peppermint and lemon balm to make some tea.
