Sunfish tend to be caught the same way. Like the bass they're more apt to hit topwater in low-light conditions and they also retreat to cover when the sun is beating down on the water. Crappie as well. It may have been a fluke but my best crappie this year were caught fishing under one of the old engines at Mallows Bay during low tide. Tide is also worth pointing out. Fishing tidal waters the best times are when it is moving. Slack tides tend to slow down the bite and, in the case of Mallows, the bite has never seemed all that good during low tide.
Catfish is another species I don't specifically target but the ones we have around here are all pretty voracious (Channel Cat, Flathead [invasive] and Blue [invasive]. DNR seems more worried about them than the snakehead. Early mornings we've caught them on the same little jig spinners we use for everything else.
