>>618346don't expect to pull many 5.14s, but mountaineering offers a hell of a lot of options that don't require elite technical rock climbing skills. that view's from the top of a ridge that's 5.7 and all the hardest parts were psychological. that's why i like alpine climbing best. i'd rather test my mental limits and endurance than shred my finger tips on the same "heinous proj" all day.
but to each his own. i'm glad there are people who have preferences other than my own. keeps 'em off my lines.
