>>1478764Yes, it can get a couple true leaves before it will start to get hungry for more nutrients. I usually transfer them to a potting soil mix once the first set of true leaves get nice and large.
The reason I was told to use the soil-less mix is the organic matter in real soil can harbor bacteria/mold/fungus that will attack seedlings (hence dead eggplants). Try it out, a bag is less that $5
