>>2713072Here's a scout summer camp story of mine:
>be in scouts since 6>go to the summer camp every year>some of the most enjoyable two weeks of each of my teenage years>turn 16 or 17, can't remember the exact year>one of my last camps>the tranny epidemic hit some few months back>mind you this is eastern europe, so it's not like this was a "woke america" moment>having fun the first week and a half>suddenly for some reason someone asks me if I think trans women are women while I'm chilling in a hammock and reading a book, half-listening to the conversation going on around me (must have turned political)>without much thought reply "obviously not, they're unfortunate mentally ill men">think nothing of this, I know these guys, they are logical and not liberal shills>after a moment I notice the silence that overtook the cheery environment>look up from my book and see everyone staring at me and giving each other glances>whoop, I fucked up>we start arguing (that was on me, I should have just changed the subject or left, but instead I tried convincing them to change their opinion)>rest of the time in camp is bitter and spent in solitude>havent't attended camp since. I may be autistic as shit, enough to fuck up a long time childhood friendship in the span of five minutes, but at least I read the room and realized I was no longer welcome in the circle>had to leave the country to study abroad anyways, so it worked outIgnoring this one unfortunate experience every other scout camp was a blast. Just chilling in nature, talking with friends, reading in a tent/hammock or carrying out duties to help the camp. Never much liked the programs that usually forced us into some kind of game but all in all, the adults in the camp were usually chill, hard workers and pretty great role models.
Ended up with some great stories and memories as well, including someone I am 99% sure was a 4channer who used the /mlp/ board and stabbed one of the instructors in an incel rage.
