An even better option, if you've got the space, is a pair of 6V golf cart batteries in series.
When you really need capacity, commercial floor burnisher batteries are about $300/ea and can be run together in parallel (or the 6V cells in series-parallel).
Forklift batteries are probably "the best", but they're kind of inconvenient (size/weight).
