picrel are my winter boots. they require no break in at all, and are as comfortable as a pair of sneakers the first time you put them on. they are equally as comfortable with snowshoes. i've had these since october of '17 and they are on my feet 12 hours a day every day from about october to may-ish, depending on the weather. they have literally thousands of miles on them, off trail, and through dense brush, and have just finally started to leak the smallest amount (left boot, which the leather is visably fucked on) this past winter. i'm unsure yet if i'm going to buy a new pair for this coming season, or see if they will tough it out for one more year. they are expensive up front at ~$500 or so, but worth every penny.
summer boots are nick's builder pro leathers. i've had them since may of '18. they are indestructable, although on steeper slopes, can wear hotspots onto the top of your foot and front of your ankle, due to the leather rubbing as it bends. still recommend, though.
