And it's always good to have a couple colors to see what works in different conditions. Get something natural, something bright, and something dark. I use a lot of darker stuff like the "Junebug" color when the water is a bit murky. It stands out against the brown-green mud and algae color. Those dark blacks, blues, and purples seem to work well when I'm running through weeds or underwater grass because they contrast with the green.
And for some reason I don't understand, chartruese stuff works well for me in clear water even though it is so unnatural.
