However, that being said, I don't do any stalking hunts, unless its for turkey. For Whitetail I almost always set up in a treestand, though I have taken shots at does out of ground blinds before and I sat with my dad many years back on the ground in a makeshift blind. Saw the biggest buck I've still seen alive to date.
Due to the nature of my hunting (faking private land) any game I have obtained is unimpressive, even though I still feel proud.
If you're just starting bowhunting, its best to take it easy at first. Sit somewhere simple and practice like hell, because you don't want to mess up any sort of shot ever, not just because missing sucks, but because ethics and morals. Don't want the animal to suffer.
