>>1514433The climate here isnt super cold but it makes up for it in rain and wind. The wet also makes it really bloody difficult to start fires. There is alot of game in some parts and there are a few big patches of proper wilderness. But you wouldn't want to go full on no contact bush hermit for more than about 2 weeks unless you like eating eels, huhu grubs and the odd bit of venison on repeat cause there's fuck all edible plants of any significance.
I guess you could go to fiordland, eat fish and venison, and spend all your non foraging time hunkered down trying not to die of hypothermia
But seriously bro the places that are uninhabited enough to try this are uninhabited for a reason
You're better off going for hunting trips into the bush or tramping for a few days to a couple weeks. Maybe once you're more familiar with NZ bush you can decide for yourself where and how you can go be a full noise hermit
