Dont buy a walmart board. buy a blank if you wanna save some money.
Ive seen some blanks and mini logos go as low as $30.
Bones reds bearings are good enough and usually go for 17 - 20 bucks.
Get some quality trucks like indies or thunders and they will last you years, they're usually $25 a truck.
For wheels, go with spitfire formula fours or bones stf. Again they will last you years. I think they're around $40 for a set.
Once you have everything, you'll only be switching out the board and bearings when needed and bearings last a good while.
For board size, 8.0 is usually a safe bet for a beginner. You can go bigger if you want, its really just preference but I'd recommend staying below 8.5 as a beginner.
For shoes, just pick up any skate shoes with suede, don't buy canvas or you'll have a hole in your shoe on the first day.
If you want to order online, skatewarehouse is usually my go-to. theres also ccs and tactics as well as zumies. Ive also seen people mention paradeworld.
Hope that helps a little.
