Do you know what the problem with fishing is? You can't carry all your equipment with you. I have a like 4 tackle boxes I think and I'm running out of room. I filled this one this fall-winter mostly with stuff I've made. Then when I'm out fishing, I only end up using 2-3 lures at most, the entire time.
I think I need to get a nice hiking backpack I can use to carry gear. Then I can carry my cook kit and don't have to return to the vehicle to make a meal.
>>912009I never put weedguards on my stuff. I don't have trouble with snags...except when I catch a tree branch overhead. Which can be often since everything here is overhung with bushes, weeds, and trees. In the water, the worst you get are leaves in the fall. There's no aquatic plants in the streams/rivers down in the water itself. In the lakes there are some aquatic plants, but I've never had trouble with the hooks actually snagging it. I only bring that in when the fish on the hook wind around into it as I'm reeling them in.
There are no top water plants like lotus, duckweed, or lily pads here either. The best cover you can hope to punch through is a flotilla of Styrofoam bait containers.
>>912020Nice. What type of fly box do you use when fishing?
