Is it gay to spear fish with a SCUBA setup? I was in Florida a few weeks ago with the boys on vacation and talking to a local fisherman. He gave me some dirty looks when I told him I'd like to put my PADI cert to good use and go spear fishing.
From what I understand; you can only either freedive or scuba dive to spear fish. Is it basically expected of you to be freediving for spear-fishing to be of good sport? What if I exclusivly shoot lionfish? Does that at least cancel out some of the gayness?
