I grow but I'm envious of those that can ID. Just had my first morel recently, and honestly was underwhelmed. Satued in butter, but found the taste surprisingly generic. My favorites have been the parasol (not shaggy inkcap) and porcini, and of course truffle. Still super disappointed in morel flavor, must've fucked it up somehow but was still so happy to find some. Friend actually found it, called me over and said he found worth looking at (assumed it was a conk), he described it as a 'macarana'.
