>>1167407I don't see the point. I have both a gardening shovel and garden trowel and a folding camp shovel. I'd rather have the folding camp shovel. It folds up, has a wider blade than the garden trowel, narrower blade than the garden shovel, makes work easier & faster, and can change its head orientation from shovel to pick. It is far lighter and far shorter than the garden shovel. It is heavier and longer than the garden trowel when unfolded and shorter than the trowel while folded. It is far stronger and sturdier than the garden trowel and about equal to the garden shovel.
The garden trowel is better used in non-compacted soil such as in a garden plot. The folding camp shovel does well in normally compacted soils. The garden shovel does well in heavily compacted soils. For e-tools, some versions are better than others obviously.
