>>176273How did you get into heavy equipment operating. This is something I really want to get into in the future
I am thinking about going here
http://www.heavyequipmenttraining.com/and spending about 10 grand
getting trained on equipment and cdl with all the extras (tripples, hazmat)
with that experience, I plan to get some jobs down here in the lower 48 to pay for me moving to Alaska
Brother has a nice job on base as a contractor for them. they even paid for his move up from the lower 48.
I wouldn't be able to live 100 miles from the nearest anything, IGA is a joke. lol. I don't want to drive 100 miles to work everyday.
After visiting, I get what you guys are saying about the shithead alaskans, and fairbanks girls.
I plan on pumping those kids out. I understand what you are saying about spending the extra on heating and fuel.
When I move up there I want to get a woodstove. I don't know why everyone doesn't have one and almost everyone has an oil stove.
I'd rather cut wood than pay $10 a day in heating fuel.
the amount of trails and wildlife up there is beyond amazing.
